About the Work

Centered on her signature characters “Duck-Cow” and “Fruit Rabbit,” this series unfolds a fantastical world full of stories.

The exhibition includes two series, “Adventures in Mushroom Village” and “Time Travels of the Corn Tribe.” The former follows the mysterious fruit-bearing creature “Fruit Rabbit” as it works together with the villagers to overcome hardships. Through works such as “The Battle with the Eye of the Desert,” universal themes of dreams, friendship and hope are explored.

The soft, colorful plush sculptures feel instantly familiar and are linked with picture books and illustrations, so that visitors can step into the world of the story. The works are also notable as an attempt to bring cartoon art from two dimensions into three.
